In the introduction year, A.B. Stout described it as:
" A hybrid obtained by the writer from the cross Ophir x Golden Bell. The foliage stands at a level of about 30 inches and the scapes are somewhat taller, erect, and much branched. The flowers are delicately fragrant, about five inches in spread, full with recurving segments and of a clear and uniform color slightly darker than lemon yellow. The plant is day-blooming and the period of flowering is in early July. This is the first mention of this clonal variety. "
